Ships will remain in Vlora Bay until 6 November, while joint activities and exercises have been envisioned during this period.

During November 3rd and 4th, ship crews will hold portal visits, while joint naval and air maneuvers will be held on November 5th and 6th, where NATO warships will be engaged along with Albanian Marine Force vessels.

The exercise is aimed at strengthening co-operation and increasing interoperability between the sea forces of the Allied countries, through co-ordination of operations by sea and air, communication between crews and development of joint operational scenarios.

These activities also serve to boost readiness and prepare military personnel for co-ordinated commitments within the Alliance’s missions.

This is the second time in a month that NATO warships arrive in the Gulf of Vlora to hold joint exercises with the Albanian fleet, turning this maritime area into an important space for co-operation and interaction activities between the Allied forces.
