Kosovo Student List candidate Jugoslav Gashiq said on November 7th that there will be no co-operation with the Serbian List, as he explained, with someone who has been the chief and responsible for the position in which Serbs are located, really cannot have any co-operation at all.
The Student List, which emerged from antigovernmental protests in Serbia, won early parliamentary elections in Serbia in late October, ousting former Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq from power after 14 years and subjecting him to the Serbian Progressive Party ( SNS).

For more than a decade, the Serbian List, the largest party of Kosovo Serbs, has dominated the political representation of this community in Kosovo.
This party was formed with support from the SNS and former Serbian President Vuciq, with the support of which it has acted so far in Kosovo.
In the Kosovo Assembly, it has nine out of ten seats reserved for the Serb community, while leading all Serb-run populated municipalities in Kosovo.
Gashiq reiterated the stance he had said at the end of October on local radio Kim in Kosovo, that the Serbian List was the SNS policy officer in Kosovo, ending that we do not want any contact or any co-operation with them.
They have certain institutional positions on which we cannot influence, but these positions will not protect them from possible criminal responsibility for the actions they committed. There are different mechanisms, but the most important is that they will be kept under control, Gashi told Radio Television of Serbia ( RTS).
According to him, those guilty of the cystituate in which the Serbian people are located do not have a moral right to speak of what someone else will have to do.
Gashi told Serbs to be calm, since no financial assistance will be interrupted.
The message to Serbs here is that during this transitional period, until we have effectively not taken power, not to succumb to various rumors coming from the Serb List, that they will remain without salaries, without social assistance, that we will supposedly betray Kosovo and so on, Gashi stressed.
Speaking of the stance of power on leaving Belgrade towards Serbs in Kosovo, he said the ruling authorities from the SNS have promoted that they have cared for Serbs in Kosovo, but in reality, according to Gashi, that power has betrayed the national interests of Serbs.
Gashiq also spoke of the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which is mediated by the European Union. According to him, representatives of the new power in Serbia will review all agreement reached between the sides through the Brussels Agreement.
As for dialogue on normalisation of reports, student List host Ilija Srdanovic told the REL earlier that continuing dialogue on the Kosovo and Metohija issue is part of her plan.
Under review, according to Gashi, there will be other international agreements so that, according to Gashiqi, the new authorities can correct everything negative that is possible to correct.
We are fully aware of how past power [in Belgrade] has been brought to the people in Kosovo and Metohija. They have been stripped of dignity, faced with pressure, inforging political will and blackmail through jobs. If nothing else, I expect that very soon, as some of the first results, we will see the release and freedom of the people to at least express their opinion and thus restore the dignity they lost, Gashiq said.
The Student List won 52.54 per cent of the vote in the 25 October elections, while Vuciqi’s SNS received 39.29 per cent.
Election authorities in Serbia earlier this week announced the final election results, paving the way for the formation of new institutions.
The Student List is expected to form Serbia’s new government alone, but it is still not known who its candidate for prime minister will be, and it has not presented a clear political programme.
After the elections in Serbia, the Serbian List said it acknowledges the results of parliamentary elections in Serbia, adding that it remains committed to institutional ties with Belgrade.
