Alliance MP Teuta Haxhiu has raised concerns about the lack of new uniforms for police officials, saying they have been waiting since 2021 to be equipped in uniforms.

During the Parliament’s session, Haxhiu has placed photographs of Kosovo Police uniforms in the seats where the ministers sit, through which he has asked Interior Affairs Minister Jelal Svecla to show when the equipment of police officers in new uniforms will be made.

She has said that police are forced to wear uniforms for 12 hours, while their situation after completing the shift is severe.

These guys are waiting for 2021 not to see these images, and there’s a lot of them telling me 12 hours to wear the uniform when they’re thrown in the evening it’s terrible what our body is like. The question is for Minister Svechla, when will he be equipped with uniforms. Five years are waiting. Just one day, the minister is wearing their uniform. What happened?
