U nKosovo Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Vlora Citaku has declared that the PDK has not given up legal initiatives for the Specialised Chambers and that the law continues to be in parliamentary and constitutional procedure.
In a statement to Klan Kosovo, on the sixth anniversary of Hashim Thaci’s arrest, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, Citaku has described these years as extremely difficult.

According to her, the four former KLA leaders have been abandoned by the state, while the September 16th act has called it unfair and unfounded.
It’s a rough day for everyone who knows and knows them personally. It has been six extremely difficult years, in which those of us who have had friends and associates, had to walk through the edge of the sword, trying to get help, and making sure that we don’t get hurt along the way by the good will, Citaku said.
It has said the 16 September verdict created a revival, a national and popular rebirth and a unique solidification of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, but also of Albanians sides and angles in support of the liberation war.
The 16 September verdict is not a verdict, an act of judgment against four men. It’s an act of prejudice against history, it’s unfair and unfounded. What the PDK wants is establishing justice, not avoiding it. We’re not trying to escape from justice. We’re looking for fact-based justice. It is also evidenced by the court’s statement, but it will also be evident when the complete judgment is published, which is a fabricated, factless, and is not an individual punishment. But, in fact, it’s a trial for our history, has declared Citaku.
Speaking of the legal initiative, Citaku has clarified that after second reading approval recommendations have been accepted for legal empowerment of the law.
She has voiced confidence that, if the political will of October 6th is maintained, the law with the proposed changes will again receive the support of the Parliament. Citaku has also talked about financial support for defence and the work of the processing group.
We have undertaken the legal initiative and I need to correct it: The PDK has not given up the law. The law has not been withdrawn, the law is in parliamentary and constitutional procedure. After his second reading approval when it was too late for intervention, we have also accepted several recommendations, which are in the function of law enforcement and in the function of establishing justice. I can’t talk about details right now, because it would be incorrect of me, because it’s a team thing going on. But, I am convinced that if there is the political will that has existed on 6 October, that same law with the amendments already proposed will be voted in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Citaku has said.
She has said the law is just an instrument.
According to her, protection also needs financial support.
The financial support they have requested has been provided on the part of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. It’s a support that’s been missing for years, but then there’s the political, diplomatic fund, public relations and so on, but we as a working group at the first meeting agreed to maintain the privacy of the discussions and decisions we make, she said.
Citaku has stressed that the complexity of the situation requires caution, pledging that all means to seek justice will be used. According to her, this process relates to the past and the future of the Republic of Kosovo.
It’s a very complex situation. We should be very careful. As seen on the day of the act of judgment, Kosovo and our deliverers have many opponents who have worked actively for years to achieve such an act of decision, but we will do everything. We will leave no means, nor will we spare at all to establish justice. I repeat, it is not the personal fate of four men who have been able to die for this country. It’s about the past and the future of the Republic of Kosovo, it’s over, Chitaku. /Klankosova. tv
