According to the Kosovo Customs report, the case has been identified during the follow-up procedure, as the customs official has suspected the accuracy of data submitted for the load load.

During the verification, there has been a dispute in the weight of the truck, which resulted in heavier than was declared, the Customs report said.

After this event, customs officials have carried out detailed vehicle control, with a total of 1,066 pairs of shoes and 2,980 pieces of clothing not included in the customs declaration.

The total value of discovered goods is estimated at around 72,600 euros, without including import duties.

In the case, Dogana has indicated that respective actions have been undertaken and that the administrative procedure is under way. The competent organs have also been announced for handling the case.

Kosovo Customs has recalled that, under the Customs Code and Actis No. 08/L-247, all goods subject to customs procedures must be declared correctly and in accordance with the actual situation.

The incorrect statement or failure to declare goods could constitute violations of customs legislation and bring legal measures, the report said.

The institution has stressed that it will continue controls for preventing smuggling, avoiding customs duties and protecting fair competition in the market.
