AAK official Daut Haradinaj has reacted after the assassination of Arlinda Zekiaj in Pec, demanding institutional responsibility and punishment for responsible persons.
Through a post, Haradinaj has said the case does not require political morality, but concrete actions and accountability from institutions.
He has stressed that the surname Haradinaj should not be used to create the impression that someone is immune.
No one can use the name Haradinaj to create the impression that someone is invulnerable, he wrote.
Haradinaj has raised questions about the institutions’ response to concerns raised before the tragedy, as well as has called for clarification of claims related to the case and response from the Kosovo Lawyers’ Oda.
He has also warned legal action against those who, according to him, mention his family name without facts or use it to threaten others.
In the end, Haradinaj has criticised the failure of institutions to protect women from violence, seeking security for every citizen of Kosovo.
