Kosovo’s national has secured an important reinforcement for the defensive phase. Swedish football talent Bleon Kurtulus has responded positively to the guest invitation Franco Foda to join the Dardans at the highest international level.

The 18-year-old defender, born on 24 June 2007 in Halmstad, Sweden, is considered one of the most promising players of the new generation. The first steps in football, he took to Halmstads BK, where he managed to debut with the first team at the Swedish elite championship since the spring of 2024, when he was only 16.

His professional growth continued rapidly. During the 2025 season, Kurtulus returned to the team’s key point by registering 28 performances in the championship, which brought him the nomination for the best young player in Sweden. His convincing presentations made Swedish giant Malmo FF receive his services in February 2026, offering a five – year contract valid until December 2030.

Long 1.85 feet [1.85 m] with right foot, Kurtulus stands out for reading, strength in physical duels, and technical calm in the reform phase of the action.

His choice for Kosovo also carries a special emotional and family load. His brother, Edwin Kurtulus, after wearing the captain’s tape to Kosovo U-21, decided in 2022 to represent Sweden’s A national A ʹ a decision that the world prompted numerous reactions and debates.

Unlike his brother, Blaise has made the opposite way. Although he had held over 30 matches with Sweden’s age teams (including the national U-21), he has finally chosen to wear Kosovo’s lantern.
