Mitrovica General Hospital Director Gzim Berisha has been temporarily suspended from work following the arrest and appointment of house arrest against him.
The decision to suspend Berisha has entered into force on November 2nd 2026 and will remain in force until a new decision is made concerning his working status.
News of the Signal Journal has confirmed the spokeswoman for the Kosovo Clinical and University Hospital Service ( KESKUK), Mirlinda Qyqalla. She has made it known that the move has been taken because of Berisha’s keeping in custody, given the Constitutional Court Act in Pristina.
According to Qyqalla, the SHSKUK will act in accordance with legal decisions and procedures in force.
Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court in Pristina has assigned Gzim Berisha the move to house arrest for a month, under suspicion of carrying out criminal work APUhuna in the family.
