The formation of a government by the Vetevendosje Movement together with the minorities, which is most likely, is not expected to be an easy task. They have not yet declared whether or not they will cooperate with Albin Kurti’s party, and political experts say that given the importance of their votes, they may increase their demands in return.
In addition to his collaborators, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, as is rare, also sent congratulations to his political opponents.
“…I congratulate the political entities on the results achieved,” Kurti said.

“We have lost a lot of time since last year, and it is vital that we have a constituted assembly and a government with a full mandate as soon as possible. Now, we are waiting for certification so that we can begin the formation of new institutions,” Kurti said.
However, towards the formation of institutions, there is expected to be another challenge, since Vetëvendosje received 53 MPs.
Therefore, if an agreement is not reached with major political entities, which is unlikely, and there is no attempt, the only option remains the non-Serb minorities, which have won 11 mandates.
The television has attempted to obtain positions from the majority of deputies elected from non-majority minority entities, but they have either not responded at all, or have been reserved from making statements on their positions and eventual requests at this stage.
But, according to a political expert, cooperation with non-Serb minorities will not be easy, due to the fact that now, being very necessary, in exchange for votes for the government, they may increase their demands.
“It has been seen that the partnership has been seen continuously with some of them, but not with others. And this makes the situation interesting, to see what approach Vetëvendosje will have in relation to potential partners from minorities,” said political expert Albinot Maloku.
According to the final results, Duda Balje and Adem Hoxha, with whom Vetëvendosje did not cooperate in the last mandate, also won seats in the parliament.
