The case of gunfire in Gjakova, allegedly following a youth disagreement, has taken another turn. The minor who was wanted by police has appeared himself at the police station, while investigators have seized even the weapon allegedly used during the incident, the Signal newspaper reports.
Signal sources suggest that the 17-year-old with the O.S. initials, which was on the run after the 23 October event, was presented at the Police Station in Gjakova on Saturday, October 24, about 13:40.
With his appearance, police have seized a pistol with an empty mag, which is suspected of being used during gunfire.
The minor was interviewed in the presence of a parent and a lawyer, but he used the legal right to defend in silence.
After completing the procedures, with State Attorney’s decision to Mitur’s decision, a 24-hour ban has been imposed on him.
We remember that the event took place on October 23rd, around 9:30, in the vicinity of high schools and the ʹTribona’s bar in Gjakova.
According to information provided by the signal, everything was suspected to have started after a dispute between two minors who had let themselves meet to clarify the problem.
However, when they arrived at the location of the meeting, the 17-year-old allegedly fired several shots of fire from a vehicle to flee in an unknown direction.
Crims were also heard by officials from the Narcotics Trafficking Investigation Directorate who were in the area and had intervened to verify the circumstances of the case.
After the incident, police had searched the scene, but had found no shelling. Even the suspect’s home was raided without any suspicious items being found.
His appearance in the police and weapons sequentials constitute the latest developments in this case, which is being investigated for criminal acts possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons, and the use of weapons or dangerous means.
