The Golden Land Prize-sharing ceremony will be held in London on Monday, unlike in past years, when it was organised in Paris.
Among the most talked about names to win the trophy this year are English attacker Harry Kane, as well as Spanish talent Lamine Yamal and Rodri.
Kane, who is viewed as one of the top favourites for the prestigious prize, has chosen to stay away from speculation and not focus on the possibility of triumph.
I try not to think about it, but it’s certainly hard. There’s voices going around, so I’m trying to stay as far away from them as possible. I’m gonna try and enjoy it as much as I can on Monday night.
The 33-year-old striker has scored 73 goals for Bayer Munichu and for the representative of England, recording an impressive figure. However, this may not be enough to secure the trophy in the face of competition from Yamal and Rodri.
The winner of the Golden Cup is determined on the basis of three key criteria: individual presentations, collective success and sports behaviour, including respect for the principles of fair play.
