Limitations imposed last week on the Starlink system, controlled by Elon Musk’s SpaceX company, have hampered the use of offensive fears and Ukrainian air defence interceptors, causing failures in missions and significant losses.

US President Donald Trump had declared that the approach had been fully restored, but recent statements from the Ukrainian side suggest the situation has not changed.

Denys Sienik, Ukraine’s representative in Washington, confirmed that restrictions on Starschild and Starlink continue to be in effect.

Every day matters to Ukraine, because every Ukrainian life matters, Sienik said, adding that the country continues to expect the removal of restrictions so that Ukrainian defenders have the capacity needed to save lives.

The issue comes after reports that Trump had called Elon Musk to ask for the return of Ukraine’s approach to the system.

Still, it is not clear what has been discussed during this conversation, some analysts even question whether it really happened.
