A heavy robbery occurred in the village of Janjevo of Lipjan, where still unidentified persons have broken into a house and taken a safe, within which was cash, gold jewelry and a firearm with permission. The value of money and stolen jewelry totals about 12,000 euros, the Signal newspaper reports.
Signal sources suggest that the robbers’ target was Mr. K, 50-year-old, on Burhaney Burhani Street in Janjevo.
The case was denounced on Friday, October 23, 2026, about 21:50, when the householder reported the police on the theft.
According to information provided by the signal, unknown people had broken a window into the house, from behind they had taken the safe.
It contained 4 thousand euros of cash, gold ornaments worth about 8 thousand euros, and a handgun of the type Berettaʹ, along with the proper permission of the weapon.
Besides considerable material damage, the theft of a firearm makes it even more disturbing, since it is now suspected of being owned by those who committed theft.
During the statement at the police station, the householder has made it known that there is no doubt about any particular person.
After the report, police units and investigators who have taken the necessary action to document the case have emerged at the scene.
At the State Attorney’s decision, the case has been initiated for the criminal act — a serious death.
Suspected authors have not yet been identified, while investigations into the dawning of the case and finding stolen items are continuing.
