United States President Donald Trump has denied Washington is negotiating with Iran, warning that something will happen very soon over the conflict between the two countries.
We’re not negotiating with Iran. Something will happen soon, one way or another. Most seem to think this will happen after the elections, Trump told reporters before boarding the presidential plane Air Force One at Andrews’ military base.

His statement comes after The New York Times reported that the United States and Israel have drafted plans for new military attacks on Iran.
According to the paper, the attacks could take place after the US Muslim elections, scheduled for 3 November. Citing American officials and other sources familiar with the issue, the paper reported that the two countries have added military exercises in preparation for what it describes as a brief but intensive operation.
These preparations also include flights over Iraq, a neighboring country of Iran in the West, to simulate offensive maneuvers.
Possible targets of the attacks include Iran’s energy infrastructure, nuclear facilities, as well as missile and drone depots.
According to officials quoted by the paper, a new wave of major attacks could lead the Iranian economy towards collapse and force Tehran to make diplomatic concessions, Time.net writes.
However, the report points out that there is also the possibility of Trump authorising the attacks this month. Also, the possibility of the American president finally deciding not to take any military action against Iran is not ruled out.
