Both children are alive, while the company responsible for the portal has admitted the mistake, erased the reports and apologized to their father.

An online portal to major announcements in Switzerland has erroneously published necrology for two brothers, 7 and 12 years old, from the Arigau canton.

The case was discovered after the father of two children noticed reports on the Todesanzegen.ch platform and contacted the responsible company through contact form, clarifying that both boys are alive, reports Watson.

The Famads AG company, which manages the platform, erased the reports and officially apologized to the family.

According to the company, the error was caused by a technical problem while processing data from a source of information. Her representatives described the incident as a serious mistake that should not happen.

Error not noticed during check

According to the company’s statement, inaccurate reports were not identified even during an internal search by an employee, Telegrafi broadcast.

Family AG explained artificial intelligence was not involved.

The company announced that the platform contains about two million recordings and that, according to it, such a case had not been recorded before.

However, she did not fully explain how two living children were wrongly presented as dead at the portal.

The case has raised questions about the way the data is verified before the release of major reports that could cause serious concern among family members./Telegraphy/
