Alliance MP Besnik Tahiri has reacted to political and electoral rhetoric in Serbia against Kosovo, naming it anti-democratic and contrary to European values.
In a Facebook post, Tahiri has criticised both the ruling and opposition parties in Serbia, saying their statements to Kosovo constitute manipulation and fraud of the electorate.
He has recalled that Kosovo has been released on June 12th 1999, following the departure of Slobodan Milosevic’s regime, while on February 17th 2008 it has declared independence.
Tahiri has also mentioned the opinion of the 2010 International Court of Justice, which found that Kosovo’s declaration of independence had not violated international law.
Therefore, no more manipulations, much more electoral fraud and nationalistic rhetoric! Tahiri wrote.
He has stressed that Kosovo’s state reality cannot be changed through political propaganda or electoral interests.
