Vedat Muriqi has promised coach Ismail Kartal that he will score a goal in Istanbul’s fiery derby towards Galatasaray, Turkish media reported on Friday.
Kosovo’s attacker is going through a good start of the Fenerbahce season, which Monday, at 19:30, will face a fierce rival Galatasaray, in the match worth the ninth lap.

Fenerbahce currently ranks third with 16 points, three short of the Galatasaray leader, making the derbin even more important in the race for the table’s head.
Muriqi returned to Fenerbahce during the summer from Mallorca, Spain, for the amount of 16m euros. In the first 14 matches, the Kosovo assailant has achieved eight goals and has contributed two assistings.
According to Turkish media reports, Muriqi and Coach Kartal have held a private meeting this week, where the attacker has expressed a motivated statement prior to Istanbul’s major confrontation.
I’ll score a goal for Galatasarayt. Don’t worry, Muriqi reportedly told his coach.
