At the Constitutional Court in Pristina, a court hearing is held against Gazmend Selimi, accused of involvement in the murder of 22-year-old Dardan Gashi, what had happened on August 5th 2022, at a bar in Lipjan.

The hearing is being held before the court led by Sultan Hoti Judge, the Signal newspaper reports.

According to the indictment filed on November 14th, 2024, the event occurred after a disagreement, where accused Gazmend Selimi allegedly had punched the victim in the face, while the other accused, Muhamet Gashi, allegedly fired a gun.

As a result of the shootings, Dardan Gashi had been shot in the chest and had lost his life, while two others had been wounded.

At one of the previous court hearings, the victim’s brother had testified before the court, claiming he had seen Muhammad Gashi shooting.

Otherwise, this trial was faced with postponement of hearings. The signal newspaper had earlier reported that one of the hearings had failed because of Gazmend Selim’s absence, who was then in Italy.
