The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova has called for the appointment of a month of detention to a Albanian citizen, with initials G.R., suspected of narcotics trading and illegal weapons.

According to the prosecution’s announcement, the defendants have been granted a verdict on the launch of the investigation, while the request for the appointment of a 30-day detention measure has been handed over to the Constitutional Court in Gjakova.

The suspect, according to the Prosecution, on October 27, 2026, at 12: 00 p.m., on the streets of Fadil Nimaniı in Gjakova, allegedly possessed narcotic substances with intent to sell or distribute them without authorization.

During the search of the apartment, carried out at the court’s order, 1 kilogram and 9.35 grams of cocaine have been found and seized, as well as 4.14 grams of suspected marijuana substance.

In addition to narcotics, authorities have seized an electric balance, cash ready in amounts and currency, an automatic weapon, three caricators, and a total of 64 bullets of different calibre.

The prosecution suggests that the suspect is suspected of criminal acts of purchasing, possession, distribution and unauthorized selling of narcotics, as well as of ownership, control, or unauthorized possession of weapons.

It is under a 48-hour ban since 27 October, with the State Prosecutor’s decision.

In the case, the Constitutional Court’s decision in Gjakova is expected regarding the request for the detention assignment. /Telegraphy/
