With the implementation of this project, we expect to have much lower electricity bills because heating is no longer in oil, but through solar panels as health services will grow to a very large extent for our patients, which is of particular importance, said Dr Ali Kuci, leader at the KKMF in Junic.

After successfully completing this programme, EU representative Rita Heikkinen said the project represents an important step towards promoting renewable energy and building sustainable development policies at the local level in the municipality of Yunik and Mirday municipality.

I am very happy that these investments will enable substantial benefits of the community here in terms of energy efficiency and reduction of energy costs. This cross-border project has combined the municipalities of two sides of the border about common challenges in order to improve the lives of citizens, whether through green transmission, environmental protection, tourism, culture and economic development. Ritva Heikkinen, EU representative, said.

We are very grateful first that with their funds, we were given the opportunity to make these investments, and then the Yunik municipality, which has directly influenced the process to become more vulnerable to all citizens. Oil and diapers will no longer be used in these facilities so we have at least 50 thousand euros in savings annually. So besides environmental impact, carbon emissions reductions so we talk about a significant increase in savings but also well-being, Elvis Ndreka, project manager, said. EFFORT)
