Institute of Octopus Director Arben Fetosti has stressed that the meaning of the hybrid dimension of the geopolitical conflict is promise for the exact definition of current Albanian interests in the Balkans.

These assessments Fetos expressed to the next Liberal Circle in Korca during the new geopolitical and global economy session, where Albanian researchers, public figures and entrepreneurs from the Balkan countries are discussing the challenges of liberal order and the implications of geopolitical changes in Albanian space.

Today, war is more than a military crash, so we must realize that we are at war. If we get out of this premiere, we cannot define the current Albanian interests in the Balkans, Fethoshi said.

Referring to concepts of legitimacy of Jürgen Habermas and representation Cresis discussed in the work Post-Democrace Colin Crouch’s, he talked about cutting off the political system from expectations and real needs of citizens.

However, according to Fethoshi, beyond these difficulties of democracy, the main risks facing Albanians today are related to security.

He warned of hybrid operations aimed at destabilising and weakening confidence in the orientation and Euro-Atlantic belonging of Albanians.

In this context, Fetos sought a comprehensive approach to civil society, academy, business and policy to build a common response to these challenges.

According to him, this response should be based on strategic clarity and on strengthening partnerships within the Euro-Atlantic determination.

Every other road is wrong and with fatal consequences for Albanians, Fetos stressed.
