PDK MP Blerta Deliu Kodra has reacted after the release of a video recording that is heard by Arlinda Zekij, who was killed by her brother-in-law in Pec, conversing with a police official at this town’s police station.

In the video, the policeman is heard telling Zekia that he is not obliged to attend.

Deliu Kodra has criticised the way, according to her, women are treated by those who hold institutional positions and responsibilities.

It’s not just the cop telling Arlinda that he’s not responsible for it. You’re shocked by a professor who doesn’t deal with women. You are shocked by the chief chief who uses humiliating language against a woman. Because that’s where you realize this contempt is everywhere. She’s got titles, she’s got uniform on, she’s got mail and powers, she wrote.

According to the PDK deputy, women first face difficulties to hear and be treated with dignity before receiving their own defence.

She has described the desperate fact that women still have to seek what she has called a minimum human.

Arlinda asked for help while she was alive. Today, anyone responsible for it must render an account, Deliu Kodra has declared.
