The aircraft of the company Air Serbia, which was launched Tuesday evening by Belgrade towards Moscow, has changed direction during flight and has returned to Belgrade.

According to Serbian medium Nova.rs, on this plane were allegedly Aleksandar Vulin, leader of the Movement of Socialists Dusan Bayatoqiq, director of the company ‘%Sbijagas), and Nenad Popovic, head of the Serbian People’s Party.

Numbered Flight JUD134 was headed from airport Nicola Tesla in Belgrade at 18:48. According to the Serbian media, the plane had reached as far south as Lithuania, when it was ordered to return to Belgrade.

The reason for the return, according to the medium’s sources, relates to security issues. The order to return the plane was allegedly given by the Belgrade Airport’s corporate security director.

Earlier in the day, Democratic Party in Serbia chairman Srdjan Milivojevic had raised doubts about leaving Serbian officials towards Moscow.

He had written on the social network X: who’s leaving for Moscow tonight on flight 18:30?

Milivojevic had claimed that one of the two persons would travel on a one-way ticket, hinting that a criminal investigation into the ministry he had led was being prepared to a former minister.

However, there is no official confirmation that the three officials mentioned were on the plane or that they were leaving Serbia to avoid any investigation.

Meanwhile, Air Serbia has confirmed the plane’s return, suggesting it had received information from the airport’s competent services for the need for additional security checks related to a passenger.

The company has said the decision to return to Belgrade was taken to carry out all necessary security procedures. /Insander.org/
