Seal announced by Moscow, denies escape, but does not show when returning to Serbia

Serbia’s former deputy prime minister, Alexander Vulin, has been warned by Moscow to deny claims that he has escaped from Serbia, following the incident with Air Serbia’s plane that returned to Belgrade for additional security checks.

The leader of the Socialist Movement and the chairman of the Supervisor Board of Srbijagas claims he is in Russia for meetings regarding the continuation of the gas supply agreement. In a video message, he said he would not leave without his family and attacked reports of his travel circumstances, reports N1 Forward Dukeagini.

However, denying the escape does not clarify questions about security procedures that led to the plane’s return. The JAT134 flight, launched on 3 November by Belgrade towards Moscow, was forced to return after airport services demanded additional searches for a passenger.

According to reports on the prosecution’s announcement, the alarm had been activated during the search, but the passenger had not been subject to additional control. Authorities have requested verification of the circumstances of this release.

The seal has presented the incident as political pressure, claiming that control revealed nothing illegal. Meanwhile, it remains clear how the security procedure was implemented and those responsible for the return of the aircraft and the delay of travelers.
