Activist Neri Feriz has reacted after the assassination of Arlinda Zekiaj in Vitomirica of Peja, criticising justice institutions for dealing with cases of domestic violence.
Feriz, invited to é IN Dukagjin, he said such tragedies have not surprised activists and organizations dealing with the issue because of their experiences with institutions, including Police, Prosecutors and Courts.

Unfortunately, these ongoing tragedies have not surprised us as activists and organizations, because it is expected from the experience we have had with institutions like Court, Prosecutor and Police, as we have seen that the level of seriousness is at the lowest level in the cases of domestic violence victims and we have not expected any change, Feriz has been expressed.
It has warned that unless concrete measures are taken, such cases may continue to repeat themselves.
My wish is that these cases will continue again if you don’t take precautions, she has declared.
Feriz has also criticised the system’s overall functioning, saying the responsibility for failures cannot be attributed only to one institution.
A whole chain of system has failed here, starting with the Police, the Prosecutor and then the Court. And even in the country, they have developed long eloes, which have not reached this system of justice before, Feriz said.
According to her, besides society, the responsibility for the lack of change also has Kosovo institutions and the Assembly.
Where we talk as a society is the part of institutions and the Assembly, without changing it, has not changed the thinking of Kosovo’s population, Feriz has declared.
