The history of British automobileism returned to the streets of London on Sunday, November 1st, when dozens of old cars took part in the traditional London to Brighton Car Run deal.

The 97 – mile [97 km] journey from Hyde Park to London to the southern coast of England gathered vehicles produced during the early period of automotive traffic, the Telegraph broadcast.

Some of them moved at only 12 to 20 miles an hour, witnessing the huge differences between then technology and modern cars.

This year’s event marked the 140th anniversary of the presentation of the Patent-Motorwagen vehicle by Karl Benz, widely considered the first car produced for use in the series.

There were no technical difficulties missing during the race. One of the vehicles broke out on The Mall Street, relating the challenges associated with the direction of cars of this period.

For participants, this race is not only about reaching destination but also about enjoying the way automobiles traveled more than a century ago. running these vehicles requires patience, care, and special mechanical knowledge.

Shawn Harbor, who led a 1901 Renault Type D, said that these cars are very delicate, since the amortizing system, brakes, flocks, and box of speeds requires careful treatment.

And Karl-Heinz Jungbeck, who had traveled from Munich with a Lacoste & Battmann of 1903 said that participation in this activity gives drivers the opportunity to experience some of the adventure that automobiles experienced more than 100 years ago. /Telegraphy/
