At least 13 people have lost their lives, and five others have been injured as a result of a Russian – fearful attack on a railway station in the town of Dnipro, Ukraine, where a train of passengers stopped on the platform was located.
According to Ukrainian authorities, the attack hit the platform of the station where the train traveling to Zaporisigiza was stopped.
Dnipropetrovski region Governor Oleksander Ganza announced through a post in Telegram that at least 13 people were killed in the attack, while five others were injured. Meanwhile, Dnepros Mayor Boris Filatov confirmed that a passenger train was hit during the attack.
The Ukrainian state railway company also indicated that a Russian drone hit the platform of the train stop with Zaporizian destination.
The attack comes at a time when Russia and Ukraine have intensified air strikes against each other, using fears and rockets against targets in the opponent’s territories.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyan declared earlier than 600 Ukrainian fears were released overnight to the region of the Russian capital.
According to him, Russian air defence systems neutralised most of the aircraft without a pilot before reaching their goals. Sobyan claimed that 613 fears were directed towards the Moscow region from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, while 231 were destroyed during the approach to the capital.
However, these figures have been released by Russian authorities and have not been independently confirmed.
Ukrainian authorities, on the other hand, reported on Russian attacks in other regions of the country at night. In the Rivnes region, a Russian attack caused a man’s death, according to official reports.
The escalation of air strikes between the two countries occurs at a time when peace talks between Russia and Ukraine are expected to resume, with the mediation of the United States of America.
