A rare humanitarian ceasefire in the region of Herson in Ukraine, which allowed civilians to leave the occupied town of Olesky, is expected to end Sunday evening.
The limited truce on the front line has respected since entering into force last week, though fighting has continued in other parts of Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky has announced that Russia has attacked energy infrastructure in four regions of Ukraine at night, leaving hundreds of thousands of families without electricity.
Meanwhile, another nighttime attack has caused the deaths of two people, including a 13-year-old girl in the Vinnytsia region, Ukraine State Emergency Service reported, the BBC reports.
On the other hand, Ukraine has hit an important fuel producer for rockets in the Russian region of Rostov. According to Zelensky, the attack caused fire and damaged four production objects.
In Ukraine, work continues throughout the day to repair damage and restore electricity supply. By evening, the majority of consumers in the Dnepropetrovsk region had restored their supply, but more than 60 thousand more continued without power.
Due to continued energy infrastructure attacks, emergency power cuts have been imposed throughout the country. In the capital city, Kiev too, the supply is cut off for most of the day, while problems have been reported even with water supply.
Zelensky has said the intensity of the Russian attacks over the past week has been extremely high. According to him, Russia is trying to fully benefit from the lack of ballistic interceptive missiles.
He has added that Ukraine daily asks the United States, European countries and other partners for supply of Patriot missiles, which are among the main means for the collapse of Russian ballistic missiles.
Zelensky has thanked the partners for their current support and long-term support pledges, but has demanded that assistance be delivered faster.
The truce at Herson ends Sunday evening
The limited truce in the Herson region is expected to be completed Sunday at 22:59 local time in Ukraine (2100 by GMT time).
The pause in combat, which began on Tuesday, was achieved with the mediation of the first US Lady, Melanie Trump, and Pope Leos.
Initially, the truce involved only the town of Oleshky, which has been under Russian occupation since the first days of Russia’s full invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. It then expanded to other parts of the Herson region.
The town of Oleshky was trapped between the Dnipro River and Russian forces, while the exit roads were mined and exposed to intimidation attacks.
The stranded residents were facing severe shortages of food, water, and electricity. To survive, some had reached the point of cooking vegetables gathered in gardens.
