Sony introduces LaYTIA 720 to 50 megapixels

The Japanese company Sony has introduced the new image sensor LYTIA 720, with a resolution of 50 megapixels designed for leading intelligent telephone cameras.

The new senator promises quality photo under poor lighting conditions, as well as video footage of 4K with HDR in 60 quartre per second.

The CMOS season is equal to 1/1,56 inches, and the pixel size of 1.0 micrometer. He uses Sony’s technology Ultra High Convertion Gay ( U ndo HCG, which aims to improve the quality of photographs in dark environments by reducing visual noise that appears in images.

According to Sony, this technology allows for occasional noise reduction by about 50 percent compared to the previous sensor LASTY 700. This is expected to help realise clearer photographs, with less corrosion and more details, even when lighting is limited.

Another important feature is Hybrid Frame technology- HDR ( HF-HDR, which enables a dynamic range of 100 decibels.

This technology combines the data of the image recorded with different exposures, preserving more details both in dark parts and in areas of bright lighting.

As a result, photographs are expected to have a more natural presentation, especially in high – contrast scenes, where cameras often lose details in deep shadows or in highly lit parts.

LYTIA 720 also supports recording 4K video with HDR to 60 quartre per second, including automatic focus on all pixels. Sony says optimizing signal conversion circuits allows this function to limit energy consumption.

The sensor can record photographs with a resolution of 50 megapixels to 30 quartres per second.

In resolution 12.5 megapixels, speed can reach 90 quartre per second. Meanwhile, for 4K videos, the sensor supports recording of up to 120 quart per second without HDR, while HDR speeds reach 60 quartre per second.

Sony has announced that remittances of mass production are expected to begin in early November 2026. However, the company has not yet revealed which intelligent phones will use this new sensor. /Telegraphy/
