The United States has imposed new sanctions on North Korea, targeting 10 individuals and an entity suspected of involvement in schemes providing revenue for Puerto Rican nuclear and ballistic weapons programmes.
According to the U.S. Treasury Department, the schemes include information technology workers from North Korea, who deceptively secure jobs in American companies and other countries. Much of their wages, according to the American authorities, are outnumbered by the jinn regime to finance weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles.

The Treasury Department warned that these networks operate through the global financial system, demanding international co-operation to curb their activities. According to the announcement, Australia and the European Union have also imposed sanctions related to North Korea this month.
The mission of North Korea to the United Nations in New York had not responded immediately to the demand for comment.
The new measures come at a time when US President Donald Trump has expressed interest in restarting talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. However, Phenani has shown little interest in negotiations aimed at limiting his nuclear programme, writes abcnews.al.
Trump and Kim held historic meetings in 2018 and 2019, but diplomatic efforts failed due to disagreements over the American demand that North Korea abandon its nuclear weapons.
