As a result of the bad weather, the mountain neck Furka, Nufenn, and Susten are closed, while no other closures are ruled out according to weather conditions.

According to forecasts by the Swiss meteorological service MeteoSwiss, between 70 and 120 millimeters of rain is expected in the western Tesin canton. The largest intensity is predicted between 5:00 and 7:00.

Federal authorities have issued flood warning at level 2 out of 5. Since the earth is already full of water, there is danger that the level of rivers and streams will rise rapidly, writes BlackTelevision broadcast.

Warnings in several regions remain in force until 3:00 Thursday.

In the meantime, snowfall in mountainous areas can create additional difficulties for road flow.

Automobile guides are recommended to check the state of roads in advance and to be informed of the restrictions on power before heading toward mountainous areas.

Authorities urge citizens to exercise caution, especially in areas where heavy rainfall is expected and rapid water level growth./Telegraphy/
