Teresa Ford was with her family on Cavalleria Beach on the island of Menorca, when her granddaughter’s swollen tire was turned upside down by waves and powerful currents, writes Mirror, broadcast Clancosova.tv.

Despite an injury to the shoulder and prosthesis in the hips, 69-year-old went into the water to save the baby. Her husband, John, also tried to help but ran into rocks from the mighty watercourse and suffered injuries.

The girl’s mother and herself ten – year – old managed to escape through the intervention of a vacationer who used a rope to get them ashore.

Theresa’s son, Andy, has shown that his daughter already blames herself for Grandma’s death. He wants her to realize that she was not guilty and that her grandmother acted to save her.

He has also raised concerns about the lack of rescuers on the beach, as their service ended on October 15th, nearly two weeks before the tragedy.
