Parliamentary Group of Democratic Party of Kosovo ( The PDK has asked Kosovo President Justina Shiroka-Pula to return the Law on Changing and Complete the Law for Specialised Chambers and the Special Prosecutor’s Office to the Parliament.
In a statement published on October 22, The PDK has announced that the request comes after broad consultations, with the goal of meeting certain provisions and strengthening judicial security of the law.
According to the PDK, the review is aimed at ensuring full constitutional rights of former Kosovo Liberation Army ( U ndo The CK is being tried at The Hague.
The party has stressed that the law has been finalised in the majority of it and that the requirement is for it to return to the Assembly, rather than Government, or start from scratch.
The PDK has invited experts, including the ombudsman, to submit concrete proposals for its improvement, expressing the expectation that the law will be adopted again within weeks.
The willingness to improve the law is in no way attractive to it. The PDK will not give up its entry into force in any way, the report said.
Meanwhile, The PDK has indicated that it will continue its commitment to a co-ordinated state strategy for appeals, providing needed funds and professional support for the protection of former KLA leaders in The Hague.
