NATO base oil, Dogana uncovers violations and fines Salilari with 5.1m euros

Durres Customs has fined the company 5.1m euros for oil tax evasion. Decision No. 626 of the customs authorities have arranged the birth of a customs debt due to the failure to comply with procedures for over 1,032 million pounds of fuel, which was declared under NATO’s tax exemption regime.

According to official documentation provided by customs investigation in the Porto Romano Sector, the company é Salillari had obtained an exemption warrant (Nr. 14695) for importing materials that would serve exclusively for NATO Air Base building project in Kuchova. This legal status allowed goods designated for the base not to be loaded with T VSH, excise or customs tax.
