MPolish Interior Institute Marcin Kierwiński announced that the alleged author of the attack has been shot and neutralised by police and is in hospital in serious condition.

He indicated that the suspect is undergoing a second operation, reports the BBC, broadcast Klankosova.tv.

Kyerwiński said there is no reason to believe there was more than one attacker.

The interior minister added that it seems that the attacker had very radical views and that many weapons have been found in the vehicle he led while the raids continue.

He stressed that it is about a 25-year-old Polish national and that checks are being conducted in his apartment.

Kyerwiński says that everything shows that he is inspired by extreme right-right ʹideology.
