British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has faced Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov directly during the G20 foreign ministers meeting, which is being held in Atlanta, U.S.A.
Addressing Lavrov, Miliband said everyone knows Russia is the aggressor in the fight against Ukraine.

We all know who the aggressor is in this war, Miliband said, citing Russian attacks on innocent civilians. He also referred to a fearful attack in Dnipro, which he said 15 people had been killed the previous day.
Miliband stressed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not winning the war, thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of countries supporting Ukraine.
If you had the courage to speak the truth and do what is right, you would have told Putin that he is not winning this war and will not win it, he said.
The British top diplomat also called for countries to continue pressure on Moscow and to cut Putin’s revenues, which, according to him, finance the continuation of the war.
Meanwhile, the official joint picture of G20 foreign ministers was canceled after Miliband and other European diplomats refused to take pictures of Lavrov, Putin’s close ally.
After the annulment, Lavrov named this a family photo degree, saying that if it means more to them than who’s standing next to them in the picture, it tells us everything.
The meeting in Atlanta aims to prepare the ground for the G20 leaders’ summit, which will be held in December at American President Donald Trump’s golf club in Miami, SkyNews reports.
