Market Supervisor Central Inspectorate ( The IQMT, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, has held a joint inspection action in several municipalities in the northern part of the country, with the aim of controlling the legality of the activity of economic operators.
As a result of the raids conducted during the last evening, seven business businessmen — five in Mitrovica and two in Zvecan — have been closed due to the failure of minimum technical conditions for the exercise of the event.
During inspections, it has also been found that one of the businesses exercised activities illegally, without being registered to the Agency for Registering Business in Kosovo ( ARBK).
In addition to closing businesses, seven fines for registered violations have been pronounced against economic operators.
The IQMT has indicated that inspection shares will continue on the entire territory of Kosovo, aimed at implementing the law, formalising economic activity and protecting consumers.
Also, this institution has called on economic operators to meet the minimum technical conditions and to exercise their activity in line with legislation in force.
