A well-planned fraud scheme with health and social insurance funds has targeted German justice by a Kosovo-born family that managed several companies in the construction sector.
According to allegations raised by investigative agencies, the scheme functioned through the equipment of workers with false medical proof for work disabilities. Although they officially found themselves on medical leave, workers continued regular activity at the shipyards, enabling companies to illegally profit large sums of money from state schemes.

Two local doctors, aged 74 and 72, are allegedly involved in this illegal activity. Investigations show one of them received a 250-euro reward for any medical report issued without real basis.
Evidence collected by former employees discovers that health folders were collected before work hours began, as workers were sent to doctors to obtain necessary documentation and then returned to the worker overnight.
In the case, prosecutorial authorities have already filed charges against company owners and two doctors involved. The trial is expected to start over the following days, while the accused enjoy presumption of innocence until the court makes a firm decision.
