Arlinda Zekaj was killed Saturday evening in Vitomirica, Pec. The suspect in the murder is her brother – in – law, who is still on the run.

According to initial data, the event occurred inside the house, while allegedly the victim was killed with axes.

The case has received particular attention after it became known that only three days before the assassination, on October 22nd, Zekaj had turned to institutions to warn of the danger he was facing.

On the same date, she had handed over a parachute to the chief prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutorship in Pec, through which she had called for urgent measures against responsible institutions officials, claiming they had not fulfilled their official duties.

The document, which bears the stamp of accession on October 22nd, testifies that Zekij had expressed concern for her security and had warned that institutions could react only after a tragedy occurred. /Kp/
