Kurti at the Berlin Summit: Criminal Radoiciq free public centre and protected by Serbia

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has demanded that Kosovo be granted candidate country status and negotiations for membership in the European Union open. During his speech at the Berlin Process Summit session, he has stressed that Kosovo stands firm for European values and that foreign policy acts as if it were an EU member state, while also demanding NATO membership.

Kurti has criticised Serbia for its approach to Kosovo, charging that it has used hostile methods similar to those of Russia. He has cited the terrorist attack on Banjska and the explosion in the Iber-Lepenci channel, while stressing that Milan Radojic, who has claimed responsibility for the attack on Banjska, continues to be free and protected by Serbia.

In Kosovo, a neighbour has used the same methods, for the same purposes, against our state. Last month there were three years of terrorist attacks on the northern village of Banjska, where our police sergeant Africa Bulnjak was killed. Next month, two years from the outbreak of kinetic war through an attack on critical infrastructure, with the explosion of the Iber-Lepenci water supply channel in the northern village of Varag. Both attacks were made to be undeniable. The man who claimed responsibility for Banjska, Milan Radocik, a criminal and local extension, still free, open to public, protected by the same state device, he said.

The Government head has called for a joint European response to such attacks, arguing they affect not only Kosovo, but the security of the entire Europe. According to him, NATO membership would also serve as a preventative mechanism for Kosovo.

“Sulmi to a European democracy is an attack on all of Europe and deserves collective answers, because the response that happens to be built is not preventative. For Kosovo, NATO membership also brings prevention.

During his speech, Kurti has also raised the issue of Albanian rights in the Presevo Valley, calling on summit participants to closely convey their situation.

I call on you to look closely at the Presevo Valley, where Albanians, step by step, are being pushed outside institutions, public life and civic life, as the stance is becoming much more difficult than moving away. Human dignity and human rights are the first among the values to share.
