A family party in the village of Batlava, Podujevo, has ended with police intervention, as the holiday is accompanied by gunfire. Three people have ended up at the police station, while weapons, ammunition and dozens of shelling have been seized as material evidence, the Signal newspaper reports.
The signal teaches exclusively that the suspected persons are the Mehanja deal, about 36-year-old Florent Abdullahu, about 19-year-olds, and Nebil Berisha, about 67-year-olds, who have been identified during police intervention at the party location.
Everything happened on Friday, October 23, 2026, around 21:50, when police accepted information about shooting guns in Batlava.
The reaction unit, along with the operating plan team, headed towards the location, where it encountered a family party during which the shots were heard.
The control of the participants highlighted three weapons and a quantity of ammunition.
At the Mehanja Union, a CZ calibration pistol 958m19m, two caricators, 25 bullets and 33 shellings have been found and seized. Police have also seized access to the weapon, which was owned by him.
Meanwhile, a gas pistol has been seized at Florent Abdullah, along with a clip, 15 rounds, and eight shellings.
The third weapon has been seized by Negoti Berisha. It’s a Zoraki gas gun with a clip and seven shells.
All weapons and material evidence have been seized temporarily, while the three suspects have been escorted to the Police Station in Podujevo, where they were interviewed in the presence of defence lawyers.
After the interview ended, the prosecution has decided that the Mehanja and Florent Abdullah would be detained for 48 hours, while Nebil Berisha is released in regular procedure.
The case has been initiated for criminal acts possession and unauthorized weapons control and the use of weapons or dangerous means.
Investigations into the case are ongoing.
