UN Conjufca: Report UNMIK based largely on Serbian propaganda

has criticised UNMIK’s report on Kosovo, during his address to the United Nations Organisation Security Council meeting ( The UN.

Konjufca has named the report as selective, claiming that part of it is based on Serbian propaganda and dezinforms, while not fully reflecting Kosovo’s advances in rule of law, institutional stability and human rights protection.

It is depressing that many of these cases handled and discussed in the UNMIK report are based mainly on Serbian propaganda, Konjufca has declared.

During his address to the Security Council, he has also objected to the way the report refers to the September 24th 2023 attack in Zvecan Banisk, saying it should not be described simply as a violent event.

It is also a disaster to see that even the pre-militar attack in Banjsk, orchestrated, organized, supported by official Belgrade through Milan Radojciq, refers to and mentioned in this report as a violent incident instead of being mentioned as the terrorist attack, he said.

Konjufca has also rejected, as expressed, the misuse of ethnic conflicts and the misinterpretation of the actions of Kosovo institutions in the UNMIK report.

Speaking of developments in the country, he has stressed that Kosovo has noted progress in several areas and continues to be, according to him, one of the most stable democracies in Southeast Europe.

Independent estimates show that we have succeeded in fighting corruption, strengthening rule of law, and democratic institutions that protect human rights and freedoms and advance democracy, Conjufca has declared.

Part of the speech has also cost the situation in northern Kosovo, where it said the Government is working on ensuring security and creating conditions for prosperity throughout the country’s territory, including areas inhabited by non-communal communities.

Konjufca has declared that Kosovo institutions have closed structures that they name illegal and that, according to him, operate from Serbia and prevent communities’ integration.

We have closed the illegal structures operating from Serbia, which undermine ethnic integration and violate our democratic institutions, he has said, adding that these actions are intended to ensure legal security and fair treatment for citizens.

He has also cited Kosovo Police co-operation with international KFOR and EULEX missions, as well as the delivery of public services to northern municipalities.

According to Konjufca, these services include cadastrian, business registration, pensions, employment offices and tax administration.
