Despite apologies from Real Madrid and its star, Julian Muppee, the Medrillen club’s matches continue not to be broadcast on leading television platforms in China.
China’s ambassador to Spain Yao Ying, who has indicated that communication with Real Madrid, La League and other Spanish institutions is continuing, but that the issue takes time to resolve.

This unfortunate incident has hurt the feelings of many people in China who need time to process the current situation, Yao Ying told the EFE agency.
He stressed that there are no formal negotiations, but communication based on mutual understanding. Meanwhile, another Chinese diplomatic representative, Xie Tianyu, underlined that this is not an easy issue for the Chinese people, especially in view of the love and support Real Madrid has enjoyed over the years in this country.
Controversia began after several statements by Mbups during an interview, where he spoke of a meme in which his face was placed on the image of former Chinese leader Mao Ce Dun, who he described as Chinese dictator. This caused numerous reactions in China, resulting in commercial consequences for the footballer.
After the reactions, Mbppe, Real Madrid and La League sought public forgiveness, but that’s not enough to restore broadcasts. State Television CCTV suspended the broadcast of La League matches, while the Mug platform did not show Real Madrid meetings.
At the moment, there is no date when Spanish giant fights will return to Chinese screens. Talks and communication between the parties continue, but China takes time to overcome this situation.
