Iran has rejected the United States’ response to the recent ceasefire proposal, calling it unacceptable to leadership in Tehran. Meanwhile, reopening Hormuz’ strategic Strait has conditioned it on meeting its requirements from Washington.
Iran’s Supreme Council of National Security Secretary Mohsen Rezaei has indicated through a response to the X platform that the American response has not met Iranian side expectations regarding its fundamental rights and requirements.

Resaei has demanded that Washington respond fully and directly to all conditions presented by Tehran, as well as take concrete steps to implement them.
According to the Iranian official’s stance, only after meeting these requirements can the possibility of reopening the Hormuz Strait, one of the most important sea routes for global oil transport, be considered.
The conditions presented by Iran include the immediate and permanent interruption of the armed conflict, as well as the ban on Israel’s military operations against Hamas and Hezbollah groups.
The list of requests includes the removal of the US-led naval and military blockade to Iran, the withdrawal of American troops from the region, and the annulment of all economic sanctions against Tehran.
Iran also demands financial compensation for the damages caused by war.
Another important condition relates to the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran requires international recognition of new regulations and agreements for navigation in this maritime corridor, which, under the Iranian proposal, will be determined by the country’s own authorities.
