The guest team’s hero was Thierno Barry, who scored the only goal of the match in the 40th and ninth minutes.

Everton started out better and created a few options in the first part, but he couldn’t find the net. Newcastle had its cases too, while the first part was closed without goals. None of the teams have recorded a blow in the doorpost for the first forty-five minutes.

Just four minutes after the beginning of the second half, Everton has passed to the upper hand. The shock of Tyrique George was not properly controlled by goalkeeper Lucas Hornicek, while Barry took advantage of the case and sent the ball to the net.

For the assailant, it was the eighth goal in all races this season. He has scored Newcastle in the last three games between these two teams.

After the goal, Everton has continued to risk and has created several opportunities to double his supremacy, but Hornicek has reacted well in some cases.

Newcastle ended the match with ten players after Jacob Ramsey was punished with red card at the extra time, after two yellow cards received in a short time.

It was the fourth defeat of Newcastle in Premier League’s last five games. Matthias Jaissle’s team has fallen to thirteenth place on the board.

On the other hand, Everton has climbed to the seventh position, having recorded three successive victories in the trip to Newcastle to Premier League. That was Everton’s first win on a championship trip since February.
