Two minors have been arrested in connection with the accident that took place on October 24th in Skenderaj, when a car trying to avoid police officers hit the official vehicle, take it off the road and crash it on an electric pole. As a result, two police officials suffered bodily injuries, the Signal newspaper reports.
According to the Police’s announcement, the arrest of two suspects has taken place on Monday, October 26th, following intensive investigations and evidence provided by regional investigative investigations into South Mitrovica.
The two minors allegedly took a car illegally in Skenderaj on 24 October, with one in driver quality and the other as passenger.
The case began when police units noticed the local license plates making dangerous driving. After police officials signaled the driver to stop, he disobeyed the order and left, causing the patrol to be pursued.
During the pursuit, the suspected vehicle hit the official police vehicle, pulling it off the road and causing its collision with an electric pole.
Two police officials inside the official car suffered injuries and received medical treatment. After the treatment, both were released.
After the accident, the suspected car was found abandoned in a Scytheright village.
Police have announced that two minors have been interviewed in accordance with legal procedures and, with the decision of the competent prosecutor, have been released to proceed in regular procedure.
The suspects in charge of the vehicle have initiated cases of criminal acts against the official person and marriage in possession of violent wealth.
Investigations into the case were conducted by relevant police units.
