Moments of fear and tension were experienced last night at the Prokshiʹ Market in Drenas, where a person was allegedly stabbed in the hand, stabbed and endangered people inside the bar. The situation has escalated to some people’s intervention to neutralise the suspect, while one of them has suffered injuries.
The signal newspaper learns the suspect is Raymond Kurtaj, about 49 years old, while the victim is Q. P, 27.
The event took place on Friday, October 23, 2026, around 21:50, on the street of “Adem Mulajić, where police have reportedly an armed person with a knife was risking people inside the market.
According to information provided by the signal, Kurtaj was suspected to have entered the bar and addressed the Q.P with the words:
When you’re done, you and I are here and we’re clear. )
After that, the suspect had issued a knife, causing concern and danger for those present.
The situation took another turn when Dritton Prokshi, who had reported the incident, arrived at the bar.
He, along with D.J., and Q. P, they’ve been able to neutralise the suspect and pull off the knife.
In an attempt to get the cold gun, Q.P. has suffered injuries in the left hand.
When police patrol arrived at the scene, the suspect was found screaming. Police officials have detained him and handcuffed him for security reasons.
Kurtaj has also received medical treatment, while during police procedures he has resulted under the influence of alcohol, with 1.68 billion.
Because of his condition, the suspect has not been interviewed at that stage, while statements have been taken by victims and witnesses.
At the State Attorney’s decision, Kurtaj has been assigned a 48-hour ban.
The case has been initiated for criminal acts: Kanosja and possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons.
