Halloween’s name is the modern interpretation of All Hollows of Ireland, Or Saints ‘ Day. This very ancient holiday arrived in the United States along with Irish immigrants and took root to suffer now a radical transformation.

Traditionally known as the Night of All Evenings, Halloween is celebrated on October 31st. It’s always on the eve of the Christian Festival All Saints’ Day on November 1st.

The day of October 31st, when Halloween is celebrated marks the end of the Year of the Celts and is believed to be the day when the souls of those who died last year will return to settle in the body of a living person.

That’s why people wear scary suits to scare them. There are various versions of Halloween traditions, but the real origin is found at the ancient Celt festival known as Samhain.

In ancient Scotland it was thought to be the night of October 31, when there was no longer any limit between the world of the living and the dead.

Legend has it that souls who had died during that year gathered together to mix themselves with the world of the living and then to start the way to another world.

On the last night of the autumn harvest, the world differs from the warmth of the summer sun to the dark cold of winter, the land from fertile to barren. The ancient Celts believed that this transition gave supernatural forms a chance to break through the world of the living and their diabolic destruction to flourish.

They come to celebrate the main night in winter like Samhain (Last Summer), the festival is widely considered to be Halloween’s warning sign.

On Samhain night, the Celts believed that the souls of the people who had died last year would walk among the living.

The villagers thus came food and sweets to appease their souls, a ritual that may have preceded fiction or treatment.

Although Halloween is of pagan origin, its name stems from the holiday of Christians All Hallows Eve, Saints ‘ Day, or Evening Before All Saints ‘ Day (November 1st).

The holidays were actually adapted by Christians who hoped to eliminate paganism, and over the years some of Halloween’s darkest aspects have been replaced by celebrations of more love, light, or friendship. But Halloween’s connections to the scary and supernatural are still kept strong in celebrations worldwide.
