Barcelona is considering the possibility of the transfer of Jeremine Frimpong from Liverpool, with Dutch defender becoming one of the targets of coach Hansi Flick for the defensive department.
According to journalist Juan Jesus, Flick has asked President Joan Laporta to attempt the transfer of 25-year-old, viewed as an ideal profile to add alternatives to the right-hand wing of defence.

The German coach wants a side guard with the most offensive characteristics who could meet Yules Cowden, giving Barcelona more tactical options in that position.
Frimpong joined Liverpool in July 2025 and contracted with the English club until June 2030. However, his situation in naughtfield is not ideal.
The Dutchman, who has 15 presentations with the National Netherlands, is said to have faced difficulties in adapting to English football and is not considered among the tactical priorities of coach Andoni Iraola.
This situation has made Frimpong open to a transfer to Barcelona, giving the Catalona club an advantage in negotiations on personal conditions.
The contest for the defender is also Chelsea, who is monitoring his situation. Frimpong’s value in the market, according to Transfermark, is about 35m euros, while Liverpool requires about 45m euros to set it free.
Flick sees Frimpong as a player who can give Barcelona more dynamism on the right.
Kundne is the main option for more defensive tasks, while Frimong would bring more speed, insight and contribution to the offensive phase.
Barcelona is also looking into the way transfer financing is being financed, with the possibility of a binding purchase loan as one of the options to adapt the deal to the restrictions of the La Ligas Financial Play.
According to reports, the Catalonas club is expected to continue contact with Frimpong representatives during November and December, before deciding whether to make an official offer.
If Liverpool agrees to sell it for about 45m euros, Barcelona is expected to intensify efforts to secure Dutch defender services. /Telegraphy/
