LDK MP Hykmete Bajrami has raised concerns about the number of single-manic contracts related to budgetary organisations in Kosovo, claiming that the interests of citizens are being damaged through them.
Through a Facebook post, Bajrami has indicated that, according to official data, between March 2021 and mid – October 2026, 2,913 one – source contracts, worth $359m.
Of them, according to her, 1,706 are contracts linked for the first time, worth 304m euros, while 1,207 are annexes-contrastes, worth 55m euros.
Bajrami has criticised this practice, contrasting it with the lack of drugs for patients, including those treated by malignant diseases.
As an example, it has cited the purchase of diapers by municipalities in Podujevo and Gracanica. According to her, Podujevo has bought the diaper for 520 euros per tonne through a negotiated contract, while Gracanica has bought it from the same company for 380 euros per tonne, through an open tender.
According to Bajram, the 140-euro tonne gap raises doubts about possible financial damage that could be caused by public budgets.
She has demanded that these contracts be investigated, stressing that there should be responsibilities for agreements linked without prior approval of the Public Procurement Commission.
